Kentucky Proud
It was an honor modeling for diet Ale-8-One for many reasons. For one, I got to shoot for a Kentucky-made soda that I love in the place that I love — Kentucky! I got to work with local people and the very amazing producer and director Jason Epperson! Jason is a fellow Kentuckian who also had success on reality TV. He competed on a show called “On the Lot” with Steven Spielberg.
My favorite jobs are the ones that have a special place in my heart, and this one really hit home. I’m also excited because this commercial will be airing throughout the Kentucky Derby weekend, another classic event that contributes to my home-state pride.
I am very proud to represent everything Kentucky!

My friend Jill makes them. She’s such a kind-hearted person I’m always proud to show them off!
They’re light-weight too, so still perfect for the summer, with amazing colors and so, so soft! Get yours at www.laurakirkpatrick.com.

Here’s one of my favorite photos by Angela Marklew in L.A.
I love her, and I love her rough, hipster style.

Here I am, still in my hair and make-up after a long day of shooting.
So tired! I’m about to wash my face and grub on food!
Sportin’ it!
Check me out in my freshly made Grumbage tee.

My cause
I’m still proud that each October can be called Dyslexia Month… as of 2 years ago when I started my charity, thanks to the Kentucky governor and lieutenant governor.
This past October members of The Beautiful Minds passed out candy to kids as well as information about Dyslexia to the parents.
We also released the following dyslexia PSA:

Bucket List
Today I went to Blue Spring, a Florida State Park, I and had a blast! Me and my boyfriend kayaked and saw beautiful land that had not been roughed by man for years! It was so beautiful! It was a wildlife preservation and rescue for manatees. We actually saw them! They were amazing – so fat and doughy, yet swam so gracefully!
It’s been a dream of mine to travel [...] Continue Reading…

This is my little cousin, Kristen. I started drawing clothes at her age and so did my Grandmom. Now this little one is helping me and my Grandmom design!
We love it!
