Merry Christmas!

Every year for Christmas I make a birthday cake for Jesus. It’s a tradition my family started when I was a child. So tell me – what’s your holiday tradition?
I really love giving gifts to the people I love, but I feel Christmas can stress people out so bad. They get in this big rush to buy all kinds of gifts that in the end aren’t genuine because they’re just settling because they know they’ve got a million more gifts to buy. Then they max out their credit card doing all this! I just wish people could bring the joy back to Christmas. People always seam so grumpy around this time. God bless anyone that works at Toys R Us or Walmart during the holidays. I feel so bad for them. They have to be stressed out of their mind. I feel like giving them a big hug!
When I was a little girl I would make crafty stuff for my family for Christmas. Now that I’m grown I have seen a picture of my grandpap holding the craft I made him. It was full of construction paper and Elmer’s glue. Lol. It looked so dinky, and the look on my grandpap’s face was so shocked!
I also used to wrap my old toys and put them under the tree so my brother and sisters would think I would had more presents than them! Hahahahahaha!

I just finished watching ANTM. I live in sweden, so it takes a little longer for us to get the episodes. Throughout the whole show, i’ve been truly impressed by your sweet personality and your determination to not give up and to always be in high spirit. You really are a role model, as well as a top model (i’m so sure you’ll get more job offersthan you could possibly take). I hope to see more models of your energy and sweetness in the future on the show. God bless you and I hope you had a very merry christmas and a heppy new year!

Hey Laura! I’m Peruvian, and here we use to cook turkey with some pisco (peruvian liqueur)with arabic rice (rice cooked with raisins, a very thin type of spagetti which is fried and then is cooked with rice, and soy vinegar) which is pre-cooked on a cacerol and fully cooked inside the turkey inside the oven. Also, we have some smashed sweet potatoes, salad, “Tamal peruano” which is like a cake made of corn and chili with chicken… (its not exactly a cake.. but i just dont know how to describe it… lol).
We eat this at midnight (00:00) in Christmas Eve, and open all gifts after eating.

eat a pork (i dont like a pork).. so only my families will eat pork..
hey laura merry christmas i love you! and guess what..i didnt wrap my old toys because i was the only one home..BUT i would take socks out of my dads drawer that he never opened and wrap them up for him because i couldnt buy him anything…i guess i thought he would never know the difference..lol..he would always say…ahh look new socks i needed some! lol..he was the best.christmas was his favorite holiday and its mine too…HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!

My husband works overnights at Wal*Mart. You are correct in assuming that they are stressed! We don’t really have any traditions yet. When I was a kid I used to wake everyone up at 6 w/ Christmas music so we could do breakfast and stockings.
Lol Laura you’re hilarious (and a genius)! Haha I used to take my brother’s bug catcher and catch him bugs for Christmas. One year I caught a spider and guess whos screams woke us all up when they went to peek at their presents?
