    Hey Laura!

I’m British so I don’t get to watch ANTM as soon as ze Americans xD but I just wanted to say I absolutely loved you, in all the seasons! And I nearly cried when you didn’t win at the end! You’re amazing…keep up the work gorgeous :) x

  • Eve:

    Hi Laura-
I don’t have a t.v. but my mother in law made me watch the cycle thirteen with her recently and I just had to google you to make sure you were still modeling! I think you were fantastic and I am really proud that you are still going with it!

  • Kirsty:

    Hi Laura,

Nice to hear you’re getting settled in your new apartment.
Is there any chance you could put some pictures of your artwork up?

  • Neka:

    Hey Laura,

They only just aired the finale of ANTM in the UK a few days ago.

Personally, although Nicole was my favourite front runner throughout, I also more than wanted you to win to. Your personality and charm was a joy to watch and this has definitely been my favourite cycle by far. I wish they could have had to winners.

I wish you all the best, but you really don’t need it. Just keep grounded and stay the lovely, bubbly person that you are and you will always be a winner.

  • Simon:

    Hi Laura,
    You look amazing.
I came across you by having a flat mate who watches America’s next top model often. The aspect about you that is of interest to me is the fact you have dyslexia. I also have dyslexia and was wondering how you managed to get you where you are in life with it?
    God Bless from Northern Ireland

  • Lisa Bryant:

Laura, I am taking a vacation for spring break and thought you might help me with a concern. When you fly, do you pack any liquids in your suitcase, like shampoo, hair gel, hair spray (aerosol), nail polish, foundation, etc? Tell me if you have had any bad experiences with cosmetics when flying.
I am worried about leaks and non-pressurized compartments where they keep the luggage.
Write back soon, I have to leave this Saturday, April 3rd.
    Waiting for your reply,
    Lisa Bryant

P.S. I live in Lancaster, KY. I learned about you from my friend, Cyndi Sanders.

  • Hi Laura,
we think that you were amazing on Americas Next Top Model! You are one of the most prettiest people we have seen. We are so proud of you that you made it that far. Hope to see you in upcoming magazines and ads. Maybe we will run into you in New York! You are a very big role model. God Bless!
    Love Olie and Bella

P.S. Please tell your Grandma we say hi and that she is very good at making your clothes

I would just like to say that you were amazing on antm, and I thought you were absolutely fabulous on the catwalk at the end ;)

  • Hayley:

hi! omg i actually cant belive this is you! i thought you were amazing and absolutley stunning! your catwalk was way better than nicoles! i think you should keep going! i also think your such an inspiration for so many people out there with your dyslexia, you showed people that they really can do it. Im from the uk and i am hooked to antm, well ant canadas britains and americas! If you replied i think i would cry andd im following you on twitter! ahh sorry :s i must sound so weird but i keep going on when i get nervous :S wel im going to go now! haha good luck xxxx

  • Hi Laura, my oldest daughter is about your age and she is the one who has me hooked on ANTM. i have to say i loved your season and thought you were fantastic. it was SO close between you and Nicole. my money was on you.

no matter the final outcome, i wanted to say, you are a real Daughter of the South. i grew up much the same as you, on a cattle farm, living off the land. you stood there, beautiful and poised and showed the entire world that the South breeds the most beautiful women in the world.

thank you for showing those who never knew the beauty and intelligence of the South. you have done so much for our region. i wish you all the very best in your career. i look forward to seeing more of you in print and on Television (i live for your drops on the new season!) and i look forward to seeing your art!

give your Grandma a hug and kiss and never forget how much she loves you. never forget your roots, either.

    karon

  • Brenda Edwards:

Laura I certainly feel you should have won.Your photos and live modeling were gorgeous and I feel you are beautiful inside as well. Keep going. You have so much to offer! Hugs Brenda

  • Laura,
Greetings from England! Like you, i’m hooked on ANTM although I believe you should have won cycle 13. YOur personality, pictures and overall modelling was FAR better than N.F.
Normally, when I watch ANTM, I can tell very quickly who will win. The way they edit the shows is very telling. Each and every photo shoot, your pics were superior to the other girls. At the “stomp to the death”, you far exceeded NF.
I believe that ANTM was afraid to have you win because your outspoken, Dyslexic and opinionated. The show would rather someone shy who they can mold into what they want.
For years I have believed that Tyra is a fake. When she has her “one on one’s” with the girls, she uses that against the girls in panel. She is VERY manipulative.
I hope that whatever your now doing makes you happy and you continue to smile your way through life. It was an absolute pleasure to watch you on the tele. Good luck!
    Love,
    Cheryl

  • Samantha:

    Hi Laura,
Your an amazing model and the best. I was rooting for you to win antm. Your grandma Wanda Sue is amazing, I wish she was my grandma. Your such an inspiration to other girls to show that petite model’s can make it in the industry, which has given me alot of hope. I’m only a little girl but your my rolemodel! I really hope you can reply, because it would mean the world to me. You’ll always be a top model in my eyes. It doesn’t matter that you didn’t win, your still a inspiration and a TOP MODEL. Your personality is just really great.
Keep up and I wish you all the best for the future.
    Love Samantha x

  • Ellie:

Heyy laura, I dont go on about amazing you are! because I know you heard that alot because you are sooo good!! But i just wanted to say that i loved watching you on antm. You so funny and cute. and i loved your hawaii/hiphop dance! :)
Also that i love your picture when you were mixed race :D It is stunning.
    Love Ellie xx

PS. I think its sooo cool that you have a blog where people can actually talk to you becuase most celebs dont and there always lots of questions to ask ect! :)

  • Kirsty:

    Hi Laura,

I’ve just finished watching ANTM and was absolutely gutted when you didn’t win! I felt you were the strongest in the house, with both your pics and your personality, if any one’s a top model it’s you. I wish you all the best for the future, not that you’ll need it.
    Love Kirsty (Somerset, England)

  • Couldn’t believe it when you came 2nd in ANTM, was devestated ): but you are one of the most unique, beautiful and true girls I’ve ever seen on the program, I’m so glad you’re doing well for yourself! Oh, and your cat is gorgeous :|

  • Gemma:

Hi Laura, I just watched the final of ANTM on my Sky+ and was so upset that you didn’t win!!!! Nicole was lovely but you were my favourite right from the beginning!

I hope that you are enjoying whatever you are doing now (I have only just found your website so I’ll have a look through to see what you’ve been doing!) and wish you all the best for the future!

I look forward to seeing you on the front of lots of magazines!

  • paul:

Hi, I don’t know if you get this much from guys but here it goes. My Girlfriend has been watching Americas Next Top Model and Britain’s Next Top Model for a few years now and since I got with my girl friend I too have been watching it but I have to say the best one so far is the one with you in it, the reason for this is not the Modelling which is very good I have to say but the fact that you have dyslexia… I too have it and sometimes can’t seem to get round it.
I had the same problems at school as you did with teachers calling me stupid and that just put me further down but now I’m at university now and we have so many things to read out in Seminars with manuscripts and documents and when it comes round to me, my heart just beats so fast.

Cycle 13 has just finished over here in England in fact the last one was last night but anyway I want to thank you because I honestly do think you are an inspiration to all who do suffer from Dyslexia.
    Thank you Paul

  • Hi Laura,

I just finished watching America’s Next Top Model in the UK and was so disappointed you didn’t win. You are my favourite not only in this cycle, but in the history of top model. I have watched every single cycle and there has never been a girl as lovely and positive as you. Your photos are beautiful and your bubbly personality radiates all over your face! You appreciate all the things you are given and I want to say thank you for being an inspiration. I now try and be positive about everything in life just like you were on ANTM.

Good luck and thank you, Laura.

    Love from south east england!

  • Cindy Wilks:

    Hi,
Congratulations on your modeling success. I am wondering if you could help me with your Kirkpatrick background. I am working on the Kirkpatrick Family tree from NJ to Ohio, KY, IN. and all the way across the nation. I am trying to gather as much as I can to piece it all back to Sir Roger Kirkpatrick. I have Kirkpatricks in my family. I have a lot of information, but not the glue to piece it together.

    Thank you and good luck!

  • Tara:

Hey Laura! My nae’s Tara and I live in London, England and cycle 13 is just about to end, but I got so excited that I watched ahead online!

  • Hello Lady Laura, I want to thank you first of all for donating your signed picture in SOREYDA’S RED DRESS toward our fundraiser on ebay for Haiti. We were only able to raise $400 because of the way that the bidding was timed, but every penny helps. I’ve been going to Haiti for 10 years now. The living conditions were horrific before the quake and my friends in Haiti say that CNN doesn’t even do it justice now. I serve in the mountains and many of the people of Porte-au-Prince have migrated to the mountains. I work with the superintendent of Schools, Francois Filogene in the Pignon, Ranquitte, Cape Haitia Area. George Clooney used my photos to raise more than half a billion dollars, yet my friends in the mountians have not seen one band aid, one tent, one bottle of water one item of clothing except for the $400 we sent from your dress. In the mountains the children strive to get an educaiton and then graduate to go to school in Porte-au-Prince. Those schools are all gone. They feel so hopeless. My friend, Superintendent Francois Filogene wants to build a school in the mountians for it is going to take 3 years just to clean the rubble out of Porte-au Prince. It has to be a school that is handicapped accessible because of the many maimed children from the quake. A school that is handicapped accessible in the mountains will be a first. My daughters and I look at your pictures cause we are from KY also, you are so beautiful. Really that’s what the children of Haiti want also—-to feel beautiful again. I know that people bombard celebrities all the time -begging. Please forgive me if it seems that way. But I am many of the children’s only voice I know that God will forgive me when I let Him down, but I cannot forgive myself or sleep well at night if I let down the children of Haiti. The Bible says, “ask and it shall be given unto you.” God never lies. So I am asking once again for your help. I’m going again in June to Haiti, come go with me. Tell Tyra and Jay and Jay they are invited too. Or if you and some of your friends would like to sponsor a school…
Thank you once again and thanks for just being you!

  • Lillie:

    Hey Laura
This is coming to you from Canada!! I’m so going to audition for CNTM!! I actually am a model in a modeling agency and I’ve had photoshoot/a bit of runway experience. Not a real runway though, it was just a graduation thing for all the models at my agency but there were a lot of people in the crowd. U were my favourite girl on cycle 13 (u and Nicole and it’s not because u 2 were in the final two).
    xoxo Lillie :)

  • Hanna:

    Hi Laura,

my name’s Hanna, I’m from Belgium (a tiny country in Europe). I followed your journey through ANTM, and was rooting for you the whole time! I was sad to see that you didn’t win, but you should be proud of your accomplishments. I’m only just 20 myself, but still, you inspire me: just being yourself, never forgetting where you’re from and being grateful for what you have been given. I bet you’re a fantastic role model for your sisters! You’re an inspiration to a lot of people, no matter what direction you pursue in your life, keep it up :D I wish I could be a model too, I’m 5′8, but I still look up to you ;) I think you’re beautiful in every single way, anyone should be lucky to have you as a friend! x

  • michael:

    Hi Laura,

Like the new web site … well, tonight the new ANTM starts. I’m thinking about this date (Mar 10th) last year and what all was about to happen in your life. Just seems like it all fell into place … Thank God, you made it too Chicago! I will never forget the look on your face on the ANTM Cycle 13 first show … the final pick for the girls to go to the ANTM house. Only a few picks left and your name hadn’t been called yet. I always wonder what thoughts were going through your head in those seconds. The look on your face says it all and then your name was called … then the smiles came out. That had to be some pressure in that final pick. I saw some other girls that looked so interesting but they were sent home. Well, your story has a happy ending! Take care …

  • kirsty mac:

absolutely loved cycle 13 – it was so different, so much stronger. love you laura hope everything goes fantastic!! beautiful on the inside and outside, i’d loved to have grown up with someone like you.

  • Natalia Volodina:

    Hi Laura!
I LOVE YOU ON ANTM! ESPECIALLY YOUR ACCENT! I’m not from America so for me it’s really cute!
Seeing you on ANTM with your height really inspired me! Because i am 5′6 too and REALLY want to model!

Anyway! I really need your advice!
I’ve been considering modelling for the past few months, seriously..
In the past years i have been offered many agencies for modelling but i never was interested!
Now that i am interested i haven’t been approached for a while!
I still have all the cards but i just don’t know what to do to approach an agency, I’M SHY!!!
OH and one more important question! I am dreadfully camera shy! I really really want to over come this because its a dream of mine now to become a model!! How do i get over the camera shy? Any tips?
    Thanks a lot!!! :D :D:D!

    xxxx Natalia

  • José Anastasis:

    Dear Laura,
Ya’re breaking my heart–Maybe ya got the idea I wanted to meet ya in LA–I know the timing isn’t right cuz–we aren’t close friends–I just want to be praying good things for ya†
12 I’m eager to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours. In this way, each of us will be a blessing to the other. ROMANS 1:12
Out of INsecurity: C’mon, girl, let’s go!
The say to write what you know.
And, ladies, I know insecurity. She’s made my knees knock, boots shake, nose run and socks sweat. Yes, ma’am. I’ve blamed her for times I’ve held back, given in, given up, or chickened out.
    Do you know her too?
Thankfully, I also know this: God loves us, CRAZY loves us, and He wants us to be free. He’s the One who made the world in seven days, parted the Red Sea, and sent His Son to save the world. There’s nothing He can’t do. And when it comes to us, there’s not much He won’t do to make sure we’ve got His best.
So I’m taking a deep breath, reaching for your hand on one side and His on the other, and hollerin’ (that’s southern for yelling when you’re happy) with all my little insecure heart…
It was hard just to try and strike up a friendship with ya…†
    GBU,take care, José

  • Morgan:

Your pictures are really good, Miss Laura! I went to a banquet last week for getting 3rd place in an art contest. Thanks for teaching me when I was little.
Good luck in New York! Come home soon!

  • Ellen:

    Hey Laura,
I love watching ANTM. My passion in life is to be an actress and I love fashion, too. I’m only 13 but I’m very serious about my career. I’m in local productions and a talent agency is interested in me. I live in Ohio ( very close to KY! lol ) and there isn’t many oppurtunity, but my parents are very suportive and offer to drive me places for auditions as long as I keep school my # 1 priority. I don’t mind that at all, seeing as I enjoy school..most of the time.
Do you have any advice for my career ( even though your specialty is not acting. ) whether about the ups and downs of fame or just the amount of knowledge I should have?
Thanks so much! You were great on ANTM! God Bless

  • Emily:

    Hey Laura,
I was just wondering how you did your curls those first few days on ANTM! I loved them!
    God Bless

  • lin:

We have just had antm 13 in britain and laura is by far the favourite here too. I loved her right from the audition. I hope she has a great future and doesnt let it change her in any way. She is perfect.

  • Sarah:

    Laura,

Cycle 13 was such an amazing season! As a short girl (5′2″) I felt discouraged growing up. I really wanted to be an astronaut, but my 5th grade teacher told me I was too short! It was so great to see 14 pretty short girls go on ANTM and work it.

I’m sure that the ANTM life is different than what is seen on TV, but I really appreciated how well everyone got along this season. It is important to me as a viewer to see a show about models, not a bunch of mean girls. I loved your friendly attitude, and that you didn’t participate in the little dramas that did exist.

You and Nicole both did such an amazing job. And this is the first time in the history of ANTM that I didn’t have a favorite. I simply love both of you, and think that you are both fantastic models.

I wish you the best of luck with your modeling career. And hope NYC isn’t too crazy for you!

    Peace from Rhode Island,
    Sarah

  • Isabell:

    Hi,

Just wanted to say that you were the best on ANTM!!! I hope i will see you, i vouge, cosmo and all other magasins :)

    Love from Norway :)

  • Judith:

Hi Laura, just wanted to drop you an email to say I absolutely loved watching you on ANTM!! Your personality shines through in every episode and you seem like such a lovely person so I’m really pleased you did so well.
Keep it up and keep being your lovely, sunny, happy self – you have done so well already.
    God Bless
